The Chateau was the heart of an active wine Domaine until 1983 and is situated on the edge of the quiet little village of Ginestas. Surrounded by vineyards and gentle rolling countryside it lies in the department of the Aude and is only 5 minutes from Le Canal Du Midi, 30 Minutes from the Sea and 40 minutes from the Parc Naturel Du Haut Languedoc, a stunning area of mountains, forests and gorges. It is only 40 minutes from Carcassonne, just a 90 minute flight from Stansted Airport in the UK

The property's English owners, Tim and Sasha Hazael, create an informal, friendly and homely atmosphere where guests feel relaxed regardless of whether there are groups, families, couples or single guests. There is enough space for all to maintain their own individual privacy.

It is the perfect environment in which to enjoy a special, ‘quality’ holiday with excellent facilities in beautiful surroundings. There are five lovely bedrooms in the Chateau (four en-suite) for bed and breakfast guests including two large family rooms. For self-catering guests, there is a two-bedroom ‘Chateau Suite’ on the ground floor with two private patios, plus five traditional French Cottages exquisitely restored and each equipped with their own kitchen/living room, patio and barbeque

Delicious regional and cordon bleu food is offered to both hotel and self-catering guests in their restaurant, and in the height of summer candle-lit dinners are served in the garden in front of the Château. Tim introduces guests to a wide range of delectable local wines throughout their stay and also offers wine tours to specialist family-run vineyards in the Les Corbières and Minervois wine regions.

The large, 12x6 metre heated pool has a transparent cover that can be opened up on hot days or closed on cooler days or in the evenings to provide clean and comfortable bathing at all times. Other recreational facilities include a large under-cover table-tennis table, basketball, badminton, boules and a trampoline. There is unlimited walking and cycling in the area. Adults and children’s bikes are available free on a first to book basis.

Outside Activities
A variety of local activity Interests to suit most tastes and age ranges can be arranged. There are good golf courses at Carcassonne, Bezieres and Narbonne, all just via short drive away. The village tennis courts are used regularly by guests and there are very good stables at the rear of the Domaine for riding lessons to all standards or trekking.

	The river Aude is perfect for fishing and day trips on the beautiful Canal Du Midi can be arranged at the Chateau. Canoeing and kayaking can be enjoyed in the Haut Languedoc while in the Pyrenees, white water rafting, mountaineering and rock climbing can be organised.
