Why join WineDrive?

Many of our listed producers are small, family businesses which do not have the facilities to welcome casual visitors. WineDrive members are seen as genuine wine lovers who will appreciate their time. Our producers are listed by invitation only, preserving WineDrive's commercial independence.

Can't I get this information elsewhere?

WineDrive is the only website to identify quality vineyards in France and give the tourist directions to find them. You can get lists of vineyards in reference books, but they contain literally thousands of producers with limited information reducing your choice to guesswork.

Also, an address deep in the French countryside is not much help to the visitor without the detailed directions you will find in WineDrive's Premier Pages.

A book will quickly become out of date with a new vintage and as contact details change. WineDrive updates information immediately a change is notified and we e-mail important changes to all our subscribers. Also, a wine book won't help you with routes, travel information and hotel or ferry bookings.

Do you list all the vineyards?

France has many thousands of wine producers. Our references alone include more than 6,000 producers and 8,000 wines. Many are very small and sell only to local markets, while others are multinationals whose wines you can buy in your local store. Some producers actually discourage direct sales by charging more than you would pay from their merchants. So there is little point in trying to list them all, apart from the fact that we would not be able to include the depth of information you will find on WineDrive.

If you don't find your favourite wine on our lists, our 'WineSniffer' may be able to track it down. Click the WineSniffer button (left) for details.
