100 VINEYARDS WELCOME UK VISITORS
One of the smallest vineyards in France has opened its doors to UK tourists through wine a travel website, winedrive.com. Domaine les Combettes brings the total vineyards listed to 100 offering more than 730 wines from 150 appellations across all the main wine regions.
Said WineDrive Ltd's David Spokes: "Domaine les Combettes covers just one hectare and is owned by a young English family. Despite being new to wine growing and having a very small production, their wines have rapidly gained the respect of professionals in the South West region of France.
"Their vineyard is the perfect compliment to others on our lists, some of which date back to pre-Roman times and have been in the same family for centuries."
The additional vineyard completes WineDrive's coverage of all the main wine regions and brings the total pages on the website to more than 1,300 providing travel and driving information, history and on-line ferry booking links.
All 100 vineyards welcome visitors for tastings and to buy wine at local vineyard prices. As well as providing a complete information service for visitors to France, winedrive.com is the only website to list selected, quality vineyards with detailed directions to find them.
